Exterior treatment on the foundation, and around windows and doors, as these are entry and exit points. Web and spider egg removal with an exterior brush, on the eaves and soffits.

Black Widow Spider:

  1. Found in Eastern Washington.

  2. Identified by a jet-black, globular body with a red hourglass mark on the abdomen.

  3. The venomous bite can cause pain, cramps, and other symptoms but is seldom fatal.

Hobo Spider:

  1. Common in the Pacific Northwest.

  2. Not aggressive unless provoked.

  3. Builds funnel webs and waits for prey.

  4. Often found in basements and window wells.

  5. Mature females are relatively large and have long spinnerets

 Wolf Spider:

  1. Common in the Pacific Northwest.

  2. Only bite when they feel threatened. The most venomous spider in North America.

  3. Often found in basements, window wells, mulch, and garages.

  4. Mature females carry the young on her back.

  5. Have a distinctive black body and red hourglass marking.

Yellow Sac Spider

  1. Common in Eastern Washington & Seattle area.

  2. Can be yellow, white, or even green. 

  3. Can be found in gardens during the warmer months but can make their way indoors during the fall.

  4. Nocturnal hunters that chase prey instead of catching in webs. 

  5. Can be found along walls, ceilings, behind shelves, and a long window sills. 

  6. Bites are similar to that of a hornet. Can cause redness, itching, slight swelling. Typically not aggressive unless surprised or feeling threatened.
