Ticks are small, oval, and flattened creatures, with hard and leathery bodies when unfed.

Control Measures:

Regular and thorough vacuuming of all areas, including rugs, upholstered furniture, and cracks and crevices, is essential. Vacuum every third day for 2 weeks to eliminate many immature fleas. Dispose of the vacuum cleaner contents after use to prevent fleas from escaping.

Pet Care: For fleas & ticks, shampoo pets with a flea/tick-killing soap or treat them with a product registered for flea & tick control. Combing the pet can physically remove many fleas. Wash and dry pet bedding or have it dry cleaned.
